Stepping Stones is seeking a Full Time Life Skills Trainer. Must be willing to work nights and weekends

Supervises and trains assigned residents staying in group home in compliance with applicable
directives, including but not limited to all current and thereafter amended federal, state and local
standards, guidelines and regulations required under this position.

Provides 24 hour supervision of clients to ensure safety and welfare and to meet daily living needs in a safe manner, promoting self sufficiency with all aspects of care.

Reviews and follows recommendations of resident evaluation/assessment and other reports.

Provides individual and group activities based on the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and in
conjunction with the IDT.

Administers client medications as prescribed by personal physicians.

Completes required daily documentation.

Serves as a team member of the individual Inter-Disciplinary Team.

Assists in developing proposed objectives relative to strengths/needs identified by the
evaluation/assessment.

Assists with implementation of training plans and identifies and adapts training curricula, methods and materials to meet resident's needs and behavioral objectives.

Transporting residents as needed by vehicle for activities and appointments, and employment.
Oversees medications administration and maintains accurate records.

Ensures household upkeep and cleanliness.

Attends all required staff meetings and continuing education seminars.

Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and have successfully completed a formalized training program, such as the Nursing Facility Nurse Aide Training or Home Health AideTraining Program; or formalized training as outlined in the Stepping Stones training procedures may be substituted for the above experience, or experience of at least two years working full-time in home health, long-term care, acute care hospital or rehabilitation hospital or a group or staffed residence for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Must maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.
